Same Day and Go Home
Once your procedure is complete and your specialist agrees that you are well enough to go home to carry on recovering you will be discharged. This will be a straight forward process but you will be given further information by your nurse that you may find useful.
Your specialist may write a prescription for medications to take home with you, which will need to be dispensed at the pharmacy. The pharmacist can talk to you about how to take them correctly and talk to you about any side effects.
All patients are provided with detailed discharge instructions, which will include information about what you may experience following the procedure, what is important for you to follow after your procedure and any medication instructions.
At discharge, you will also be provided with full contact details of our centres and your specialist in case you or any family members have any concerns after hours.
