Dr Phil Ha is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist with a special interest in steatotic liver disease and decompensated cirrhosis.

Phil graduated with First Class Honours from Monash University in 2015 and completed his Physician Training at Monash Health. He subsequently undertook further training in inflammatory bowel disease, followed by a prestigious Clinical Fellowship in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at the Royal Free Hospital in London.

Phil also holds a Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours), during which he developed a smartphone application to facilitate telemonitoring for outpatients with chronic liver disease. He remains actively involved in research, with publications in both national and international journals, and ongoing academic interests in liver disease and cirrhosis care.

Throughout his career, Phil has received multiple accolades, including the John Flynn Scholarship and the John Burgess Prize for Clinical Excellence at Monash Health. He currently holds a public specialist appointment at Peninsula Health and plays an active role in teaching and mentoring physician trainees.

Phil is committed to delivering personalised, patient-centred care and has broad clinical interests across all areas of gastroenterology, including bowel cancer screening, H. Pylori treatment, diseases of the pancreas, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel diseases.
